Larry Grenadier, bass Larry was born in San Francisco on February 6, 1966. While in San Francisco, he performed with Joe Henderson, Bobby Hutcherson, Stan Getz and Dizzy Gillespie. Larry graduated from Stanford University with a degree in English Literature in 1989. He then moved to Boston in 1990 to work with Gary Burton. In 1991, he migrated to New York City and worked with Joe Henderson, Al Foster, Betty Carter and Tom Harrell. He performed and recorded with young artists such as Joshua Redman, Danilo Perez, David Sanchez and Renee Rosnes. Since then, Larry has performed all over the world with artists that include John Scofield (the "Quiet" tour 1997), Pat Metheny and The Brad Mehldau Trio of which Larry is still an integral part. |
